Description | In this update the mini gun seems to fire really slowly, this wasn't an issue in the last update. I thought it was due to gravity but even with gravity set to 0 it still has the same issue. In fact all the weapon fire seems slow. This is on the default speed setting. | ||||

What kind of FPS are you running in combat? |

Just started a new quickstart game and the FPS is 75 with fraps running and the shots seem fine. I then started an advanced game using the Peltians and got the same issue the FPS was still 75. I will experiment and see if I can work out what's happening. |

The slowdown seems to be happening with the Andor and Peltian flagships all the others seem fine although the speeds do differ. |

These two ships are broken... >< To be a bit more clear, it seems like there are abnormal gravity effects active on these two flagships. |

I'm a tester just as you are. I just thought it might be performance related like something I saw on my laptop. I punched in an advanced start with these two and Auc to see if I could replicate. It's definitely not right (or something that we don't know about). Post up a vid if you think it will help, but I was able to see it fairly easily. |

Also like to add, it effects more than just the minigun. On the Pelt flagship you can see it happening with all 3 starting weapons (they are all ballistic). |

Ah! Yes, the shot speeds vary by racial flagship. You are probably using a different flagship than before. Misery just found the same troubles with the speed of movement, for instance. I will normalize these stats... |

Thanks! * The shield strength, hull health, and shot speeds were all extremely heavily variant between the different racial flagships. They still are for the AI versions, but for the player versions those are all now normalized to something close-ish to the Acutian Executor versions, but with lower shielding than that had. This means a vast increase in shot speed for pretty much all the other flagship types, and an averaging-out of the hulls and shields for most. ** Please note this will only affect new savegames, not existing ones, since those stats get baked in. |
