Okay, now we're getting somewhere! The issue that is being shown here is really clear, actually: you're running out of memory, so it can't allocate the texture. You have plenty of RAM, I see, so it's kind of strange that this would be happening to you.

Two questions:
1. Do you have swap disabled on your system? In other words, the pagefile? If you have that turned off, that can cause problems in a lot of programs hitting a hard wall in cases like this, which could be why you are hitting this and nobody else is.
2. Are you running a ton of other stuff in the background such that there isn't much left for the game?

Either way, I'm going to make a change that will probably solve this, because it will be good for low-RAM systems in the first place. And I did have one other report of an out of RAM issue, but it was not of this particular nature, and that person was on XP with < 2GB of RAM.

Think I've solved it, I installed the game through Steam on a new hard disk and the memory setting were not correct. Just played my save game and so far it looks okay. Fingers crossed it's solved. Thanks for the help.

For 0.860:

* The game now automatically unloads unused large textures when it is not using them, in order to keep RAM usage lower. This was previously causing some issues on some systems.

I've increased the pagefile and with the new update I have my fingers crossed. Will report back soon. Would it be best to start a new game or would my save be okay?

Existing game is just fine, it is entirely a transient memory thing with textures, not something to do with gamestate.
