Summary0014025: Playtime conclusions and impressions
DescriptionSo I have put in 8 hours of game time so far and these are my first impressions and things I would like to see as a player in the game.

- In the advanced set up of a game I liked everything I saw but would think that a random cash site button would make things interesting especially in an Ironman setting.

- I thought the tutorial was really good and it set me straight on what the game is about and my role in it. I would how ever give players the option to take away the start story and all the info for planets and so forth to make it more stream line for 3rd 4th and 100th time played.

- I as a player like to put around a battle field and pick stuff up that I have destroyed and I find it irritating that in TLF as soon as a flag ship is destroyed I have to automatically jump out and can’t finish off the station because I’m evil or maybe just a bit chaotic at that moment. As well as this pilot pick up is very difficult. I want to be a slaver but all the escape pods are blowing up. Isn’t that a bit over kill? How about making the pods targetable and giving negative influence for blowing them up? As well as allowing the players to pick up space trash for maybe small amounts of building materials?

- I have not played that far into the game but I did feel that the quests are far and few. I realize that this is a LONG haul game and that they will come but at the beginning years they would be more so players have a bit more to do than just watch the time buzz buy as your helping build a fleet or playing doctor on a planet.

- Something else I thought would be nice is more more more hot keys. I am not a good clicker I like to get a key for everything and found myself hitting “i” continually to see my inventory and “t” for my tech trees and found it really frustrating that I could not just pop into planet political pages and or friendly/hostile pages without having to click it.

- I like the outpost out sourcing idea so you can help out races but should that not come with some influence attached like any other friendly/hostile activities? I mean the station is mine should I not get something out of the outsource? Money? Anything? On that same note it would be nice to know who the outsource is going to I have at the moment 5 stations outsourced and I can’t remember to who. Just a little not in the info page. With that is there a way to stop that outsourcing? That might be another idea an outsourcing quest? That would make me what to take those bases and hold them more, and maybe a fleet or 2 to protect them

- One other thing I found a bit easy was getting my ships tech maxed out. Maybe those could be one off missions that aren’t repeatable on the same planet or quests?

As I said before I am a new tester these are my reactions after only 8 hours of game play but I have to say I like the game as well as being the first time I have played anything by this company. Great job so far.
