Description | I really like the idea behind making the smuggling mission a stealth challenge, but now it's simply a matter of finding the path, putting your engines to full, and going there. Add picket ships back into the mission, and make it sort of like the quests to deliver space flight: you have to shoot all of them down, or one of them will report that it was you who gave the technology. If they're all destroyed and you don't trip a spy probe, then you managed to get rid of all of the witnesses without activating something that would report your presence. Obviously you shouldn't get an "Attacked Our Ships" penalty if you destroy all of the ships and don't set off a probe. | ||||

i had a poor reaction to this at first as well. But later in the game smuggling space tech missions got a lot more interesting because there was no path i could take without alerting someone (usually at least 2 races). So, when i took the mission i had to hope i could find a route through the sensors which only tripped those that belonged to the races i could afford to loose influence to. and i really kind of liked how that worked. personally i really appreciate the missions which do not involve the kill all ships mechanic, and cocking this up could really have dire effects in the political game |

Thanks! * The detection ranges of the spy probes in the smuggling spacefaring tech missions are now 2x larger than before. This makes for huge amounts of overlap and basically impossible to dodge all the probes. However, you can choose which ones you alerting versus which ones you are not. |
