Description | I've kept noticing that the AI does two rather odd things when declaring war: 1) All defensive fleets get pulled from any outposts. I get the feeling that this is connected with the fact that a (more or less) sieged defender can instantly destroy all of the attackers outposts. There is just no defenses left at all. 2) In the savegame, the Acutians attack the Boarines. The single fleets that are being send are always weaker than the defenses and get crushed. I observed this in other conflicts as well. The AI tries to "outproduce" the defender, but fails, because it never seems to gather its forces before the next wave. It feels to me like a check "Is attacking fleet power < defending fleet power? Then WAIT/Gather all fleets!" is missing or at least sometimes failing. Savegame is not the best example of this problem | ||||
