Summary | 0014756: Permit choosing how many construction / science mercenaries you use on a particular project
Description | Because the tasks of building a particular building or researching a particular technology also impact your credits and influence with a particular race, you should be able to choose how many of those mercenaries you expend on a particular task. This avoids having to pull out a calculator and pencil + paper to figure out how many mercenaries to buy for a particular task. Example situations that may arise: * The universe is at peace, so I want to prolong the time it takes to research a tech in order to boost my credits and influence, so I need just enough researchers to bring the project within the 60-month limit. * I want to build X building quickly, but I would be willing to extend the time window to 6 months (again, to gain influence and credits, as well as to save money), but I overbought mercs so the task will only take 2 months. Being able to choose how many existing mercs I use for a particular project would help avoid a lot of the micromanagement involved in their existing form, along with eliminating the penalty for buying them early (which doesn't have a huge impact on gameplay, but does save a number of clicks if I'm already buying things at the merc station).
