Summary | 0014870: Solar Map: No Way To Manipulate RCI Trends For the Andors?
Description | Am I right that there is no way to start a positive trend or stop a negative one for the Andors? The direct Planetary Advice deals are not available with them and the party specific deals only seem to be able influence one other or all remaining races (e.g. when sending medical aid using the Pharmacists). Is this intended? Or Am I missing something? If this is indeed an issue one possible approach to solving this could be to add the appropriate Planetary Advice deal(s) to the party specific menus in case that they fit with the party's general agenda. This way the player still would have to interact with the Andors in a unique way to be able to adjust RCI (by possibly having to make some speeches first to make the deal available) - which is good - while providing a way to adjust them. The game would likely have to make sure that there is at least one way (i.e. one party) that allows for manipulating a given RCI available when choosing parties for a game, though.

You can do this, it just depends on the party in power. For instance the isationalist party has a whole bunch of options for starting different positive trends I believe. Also, the robotistits (I think) party can cause trends on all robotic planets (including their own). But yeah, some parties (like the technologists) don't provide any means to do so. |
|
Well, In my current game there is not a single party available that allows this. So maybe this could use some tweaking nonetheless... Save attached. |

Didn't check the save, but IIRC only the Abstainers have the Andor local-planet-influencing RCI deals. A bit of an odd limitation. |

I think this was intentional. Basically, the Andor are Soooo obsessed with everyone else, they neglect themselves. Except in the case of the Abstainers, who neglect everyone else for themselves, and the roboticists who focus only on the robotic races - including themselves. |
