Description | I'd like the opportunity (especially over time) to tweak my mothership much more than is currently possible. Simply picking a few drop-down selections is a little less than I would like. Idealy I'd like a component system that let me (re)build my ship similar to most 4x or space sim type games. Where I have to decide between more turrets, or thicker armor, more engines, or better shields, etc etc. Opportunities for further developement through racial interactions and events (like getting the Burlust to install their missile system on your Thoraxian ship once you get enough influence and pay a hefty amount of leverage for instance) that add character and tweaks or customizations to your ship would be nice as well.I mean you're involved in researching and distributing history altering technologies, you can help build whole space stations or massive ground installations, you can make friends with whole races... But for some reason, you keep flying around in that original prototype ship, and never think to modify it beyond a few almost cosmetic swap out options, and a few shield/hull strength improvements? SOme mastermind... :) I realize this may be beyond the scope you were going for in the game, and so might not be practical to implement. But if I could at least put the bug in your ear, I'd happily consider picking up such a feature as an expansion even! | ||||

I think a graphical representation of the ship would go a long way as well (even if it's still functionally a drop down menu), but agree that it's best suited for an expansion or major update down the road. |

Like the idea of a graphical representation, kinda like a character sheet in RPG games where you have different slots you can drop a variety of possible choices into. Also, this expansion could go VERY well with the upcoming quests expansion, as rare and wonderful (and probably one-time) quests unlock additional equipment slots, or unique and interesting equipment options, etc. |
