Summary | 0015113: Batman's Robin -- Defeated species join you in combat
Description | Could a conquered species tend to follow you around like a sidekick? Perhaps they see the player as the last chance their species has. They join you in combat occasionally (sometimes when you'd rather them not, like Robin). Once destroyed, they don't come back for a while (like Robin). I had the idea after one of my favorite species got destroyed in a war. I realize they show up as pirates and splinter groups but it might be cool to have them join me directly. I'm not sure if it's a good enough idea but thought I'd suggest it as it seems relatively easy to implement (already have allies in combat).

Lol - appropriately, if the "batcave" gets implemented, having them float around your batcave as a visual representation of their strength would be fun and cool. They could also rush off to help defend your stations too. |

Further use: Outsourcing defense force. Have the ability to "outsource" your "robin" force to planets for rep gaiun (similar to outsourcing stations, but it shores up their defense force.) Further modification: Make the robin force aquirable through other means as well (not just destroyed races, but the ability to purchase, or subvert, etc normal Armadas to your "Robin" force. Could give a use to capturing military stations - don't know if that's forbidden because of machanics, so may not be an option, but thought planted. :) |
