Summary0015163: Ground invasions against allies, armadas 'went down fighting' spam and other silliness
DescriptionStarted a new game fresh for 1.018. And its been... weird.

First off, I've been getting notifications for fleets 'went down fighting' (normally only reserved for planets being captured). I'm not sure what is triggering them, but it seems to be related to fleets being destroyed at outposts or the Hydral world remnants, though I did see one notification for a trade fleet being lost. Early game its not so bad, but attached savegame should demonstrate how it gets... spammy.

Second, and I unfortunately don't have a proper save for this one, but I've been witnessing ground invasions happen against races that aren't even at war with each other, or are even friends! Notably, a Skylaxian invasion force of 1 million troops somehow wound up on the Andors homeworld despite them having a massive 65k power defense fleet in orbit, absolutely wrecking Andor's attitude towards the Skylaxians. Meanwhile, both races continued to send tradeships to each other, and no declaration of war ever occurred. Witnessed a similar event later where the Acutians invaded the Peltians without a declaration of war and despite both races being on good terms with each other.

Finally, every race seems to want the Hydral planet and is willing to free-for-all for it, including when it is owned by allies. This doesn't seem to have as drastic an impact on relations but really now... some races are throwing away their entire fleets while their homeworlds are being assaulted just to take it.

* Previously, when an outpost or a destroyed planet was captured, it gave messages as if a whole planet had changed hands.
** Now it has "Captured/Lost Ruins" and "Captured/Lost Outpost" instead, and doesn't play the scary noise.
** Additionally, there were some cases where it was even saying that planets had been lost and captured when armadas were being destroyed (???), and those no longer happen.

If you or anyone come up with a save relating to the ground troops thing, please do let me know! I'm running some tests of my own, but a save would definitely be good.

Okay, I think I found it all -- thanks!

* Put in some prevention code to make sure that races in the same alliance won't accidentally land ground troops on one another's planets.
** Additionally, if any ground troops or resistance fighters find themselves on an allied planet, they will become expatriates instead of fighting.

* In the prior version, because of the way the ground combat was rewritten, the rules about space forces being able to set up a perimeter to block incoming enemy forces had to be set aside. However, we didn't then re-implement them (whoops), which led to troops being able to land on any planet that was under attack by enemy armadas. So here are the new rules:
** If the defender has fewer than 50 base defensive armada power, then the aggressor can land troops.
** If the aggressors against that planet have a combined 50x effective space power compared to the defender troops at that planet, then the aggressors can all land troops.
** Previously, each armada of the aggressors could only support 1m ground troops at a time. Now each armada can support 3m ground troops. This helps to make up for the lowered armada counts and the reinstated blocking of the defending space forces.
