Summary | 0015175: Diseases devastating populations at breakneck speed?
Description | Started new game for this version. Only managed to catch this one by paying close attention. In attached save, Andors have population of about 500 million and have caught the disease 'i42'. Within 10 months, population is reduced to 1 million. Have run the simulation several times from that save and noted that infected population never rises above 7 million, yet population could decline as much as *200 million* per month! Also, note the Skylaxians are suffering from another disease, 'Teethworm' and are stuck at 1 million population. Unfortunately, I didn't notice their decline from it in time to get a save of it, but looking at notifications/population graphs indicates they've been suffering from it since near the very beginning of the game. In fact, have noticed diseases popping up much earlier in general, before vaccines are even capable of being researched... I have no idea if any disease is intended to be this lethal, but this does seem to be a significant change since last version; my last mantis report included a game where diseases 'i42' and 'Lx-a' infected the Andors and neither had so... drastic an effect. So I am reporting this as if its a bug.
