Summary | 0015180: Attitudes changes between races is tedious to read
Description | It's hard do read the attitudes changes between the races (screen attached) It will help to add some words like : Andors attitude towards Evucks rise from 4 to 5 (+1) Evucks attitude towards Andor drops from -1 to -3 (-2) and maybe an option to switch between a description with only numbers as it is now, and a description with more words.

I prefer the adjustment at the beginning (makes easier to sum up the overall effect). Also, the Description of current mood at end is fine (but not needed, it can be found on the relations screen easy enough) Like: +1 Andor Attitude towards Evuck (rises from 4 to 5, still Neutral) +1 Evuck Attitude towards Andor (rises from 99 to 100 Now Friendly) If you want to include a "Verbose" messages option that shows all the other numbers, I'd be fine with that. But serriously, doing an Andor improve trade routes makes my eyes bleed! |

Now that i think of it: What does the line in the attached screenshot even mean? I get that the Acutian attitude to the Skylaxians changed from 14.4 to -0.3. But that is not a change of -1 but of -14.7? Also why the -0.3 immediately after "Acutian"? I seem to remember that I kind of understood the new format when I last played (1.017 I think) - but this line just makes no sense to me. I am confused = /.... PS: Wait. Is the first -0.3 (the one after "Acutian" simply the overall result repeated at the beginning of the line? If so, my issue may be mainly one of weirdly placed brackets and/or values repeated in weird locations: Acutian vs Skylaxian 14.4 to -0.3 (-14.7 Neutral to Neutral) would be totally clear to me... Or does the line try to convey the mutual attitude changes of both races in a single line? If so, this might be not a good idea in the first place ... The formats proposed by Drak or Poulpe both look *much* more clear to me! |

Yeah I would have posted on this too, it's very confusing the way some of them are written, almost nonsense. |

The word "vs" between the races names isn't very clear to understand in which way the attitude change work (race A to B or race B o A). And it gives an impression of fight between them (Acutians vs Andor ...) Andors attitude towards Evucks rise from 4 to 5 (+1) (still neutral) or +1 Evuck Attitude towards Andor (rises from 99 to 100 Now Friendly) Is way better in my opinion. [edit] : Sorry to bump ab old report, but the numbers in attitudes in still a mess. I've added a screen whit the "laud race" option and it's really a mess. - Acutian 31 (Acquainted) vs Andor 80 to 31 (+21.38 Friendly to Respected) How the math works in this ? |
