Description | None of the weapons seem to calculate DPS correctly (or bullet power isn't related to DPS) Did some testing of the existing weapons (for 0015119) and found an interesting thing: The DPS (reported by rollling over the weapon during planning phase) and Bullet "Power" (obtained from rolling over a projectile) coupled with RoF (obtained from counting the number of bullets fired in a "turn" and dividing by 2.5 sec turn length) do not seem to match up. For instance: Armor Piercing: Power per shot: 6221 * RoF: (6shots/turn / 2.5sec/turn) = 14,930 [Reported DPS: 9,000 - not even close, 1.66 times listed DPS] Disruptor: Power: 5184 * RoF: (18 / 2.5) = 37,324 [Reported DPS: 21,000 - not even close, also NOT off by same ratio as AP, 1.77 times listed DPS] This continues for all weapons Energy Blaster: 2,258*12/2.5=10,838 [21,000, 0.51 times listed DPS] Grav Lance: (couldn't read the lance "bullet's" power) Mass Driver: 14,515*9/2.5=52,254 [29,400, 1.77 times listed DPS, same error ratio as disruptor?!] Minigun: 9,331*30/2.5=111,972 [64,800, 1.73 times listed] Spreadshot (Nerfed Version): 3,130*12?*3/2.5=45,072 [34,200, 1.32 times listed DPS - NOT same ratio as Minigun - which is also "Ballistic" damage] | ||||
