I actually like this - It allows for playing with the minor faction ships without requiring the Champions. Similarly, you can enable the Alt-Champion Response even if you have no Champions, if you just want to make the game harder. |

I also believe that if you have the impact level on the game set low enough you can get champions without the other bonuses like minor faction bases and modular fortresses if you want that sorta thing... I say leave it, this works better as a feature than a bug but maybe include warnings in the alt modes tool tips? |
