Description | version 7.031 actually In my game AI2 is Exotic/Reservist and sends exo waves as its "normal" waves, but these have gotten out of hand lately. Right now I have 43 ships (57,875 strength) from one of these waves. I'm trying to get logging on this, it appears unlike normal waves the calculation isn't done when the wave is announced. When I have logging on I get a TON of unhandled error messages when the wave hits, but I think this is the relevant log, attached (LogicLog_AIMechanic_Waves_MainThread.txt, LogicLog_EventAttackPopulation.txt) | ||||

So AI2's waves seem to be 4-5x the strength of the spire exo wave is right now, on 7 cities |

So I was playing around with insane amounts of cheats... and I'm not sure, but I think I got the "homeworld assault response" exo to take over the... unintended bonus, so the AI2 waves are reasonable for the AIP level but the homeworld exo got to something like 17,000,000 str |

alright... so in addition, it seems reloading the save causes a number of things to reset, like the scaling on the "homeworld response" exo (it also seems to cause some previously waiting ships to instantly rethink going on the attack) check the new upload "so many cheats" |

For 7.032: * Fixed a bug where "Exotic" AI types were factoring in both their difficulty level's wave multiplier and their difficulty level's exo multiplier (now it just does the wave multiplier). * Fixed a bug where the homeworld-assualt-response-exo's max budget was being enforced when loading a save but not actually during the running of the game. Thanks :) I didn't get any errors when logging them, I'm not sure what was going on in your case. If you see them again in 7.032+ please let me know as it should definitely never be throwing errors like that (outside of simply-out-of-memory situations... which potentially could have been happening here, dunno). On the stuff-resetting-on-load thing, I didn't see anything being inappropriate there (there was the assault-response-exo cap being applied, but the bug was that it wasn't being applied midgame); the AI thread's state is not saved with the game, so when it "wakes up" after loading it may very well make new decisions. And in general the HW-assault-response exos will get pretty nuts if allowed to run for a while, yea. |

The logging errors were happening with the earlier saves, where I hadn't started using cheats. I may have had more logging on than needed too. I suspect they were out-of-memory errors since I was running a lot of this game before the "too many riot starships" fix. On reload, you'll notice the EMP guardians going off pretty quick, this wouldn't have happened if I had kept the game loaded and continued playing, vs loading from the save. It also makes the camouflaged units move, which can be gamed to clear them out (since even planet-wide tacheon pulses won't reveal them) >And in general the HW-assault-response exos will get pretty nuts if allowed to run for a while, yea. but only to the level I was seeing on save loading, right? |
