Summary | 0015340: Multiple HW Death Messes Up Caps
Description | I'm not 100% certain about the specifics of this, but here goes. I was playing a game with friends, and I had 2 Homeworlds, while each of them had one. Quite a ways into the game, one of my Homeworlds was destroyed, but we still had others so I got a home station core and it was fine. However, from then on, I no longer had double ship caps. Is this correct? If it is supposed to happen, does the AI also reduce its 'effective number of players' count? And finally, even if it is doing both of these things, how is this balanced? The AI still has ships in the galaxy for as if there were an extra player, yet we no longer had that advantage. If that's how it's meant to work, isn't multiple HWs basically a handicap once destroyed? In my opinion, when a player with multiple HWs loses one, they should get home cores equal to their number of HWs, and should keep the increased ship cap.
