Summary | 0015435: Improve templates to automatically use the best available mark, and store ones not yet available
Description | Is there any particular reason, aside from the older code implementation where the riot marks actually do different things, that templates don't always keep to the highest mark you have? I would like for example, to have a set of templates I can load from the start of the game and not have to worry about it later. E.g. I have stored "Laser Cruiser". It contains templates calling for laser cannons with no mark references, instead of the current system in which I have to edit a mark-I template or "reload from disk" again to obtain a mark-II template instead of a mark-I template. E.g. I have a stored template "Sniper Destroyer", although I don't have mark-II sniper turret research unlocked yet. I'd like to have it on the reference template so that I can unlock the related research and immediately be able to build it from the spire shipyards - like the pre-loaded ADV template, - without having to go and make it again / "load from disk". I recognise that this is, e.g., incompatible with the template, modular command stations suggestion - as the higher marks are limited in supply.
