Summary | 0015461: AI Type that reclaims lost territory
Description | Simple to explain, less simple to put into the game. Since the new expansion's nomad planets will force some things to become more dynamic anyway (spire city "nearby AI planets" restriction for example), I found it a decent timing to suggest something like this. An AI Type (medium or hard one) that reclaims any neutral planets adjacent to it's planets and builds new AI command stations, warp gates and outposts on them (with a budget according to what mark that planet had before), meaning that leaving planets neutral doesn't quite work against this AI type, and when you lose planets to the AI it will actually capture them back. There could be a red (super-hard) variation that also builds other defenses (mass drivers, fortresses, ion cannons, buildings that it's secondary AI type might be using like gravity drills or black hole machines) on the reclaimed worlds, as well as re-building warp gates and outposts and other defenses on planets that have only been neutered but still have an intact AI command station. Maybe the red one builds up newly reclaimed worlds as higher-mark worlds than they were before, resulting in a higher budget for buildings.
