Summary0015569: mime testing thoughts
Descriptionafter noting the hydra head issue, I thought we should brainstorm other possible breaks in the reprisal logic for mimes:
nienzul combat carrier drones
neinzul enclave starship drones
tackle drone launcher drones
lightning torpedo frigate torpedoes
blade spawner blades
Fortress (in list because as it can move, seeing one in a reprisal would be worth a screenie)
I have not tested any of these for reprisal membership issues, but I have eliminated mkV turrets from possible reprisal targets. anything else you guys can think of that makes a "minion" ship to do it's dirty work, please comment with.

FYI, the drones, torpedoes, and blades should all already be excluded from Miming because they have the "AI doesn't shoot at except as a target of opportunity" flag, which automatically excludes them from being mimed. They'll still contribute some small metal to the next reprisal but if that's all that's in it the reprisal will use normal composition rules (rather than Mime ones, since there won't be anything to mime).

A Fortress it would indeed mime, and that would be hilarious to see. But it would probably involve either intentionally leaving an AI guard post alive or else getting supply against a tough AI world and building a fortress on it during the assault. And then losing the fort. Given those circumstances, it throwing a fort back at you (or one of your planets, anyhow, since it can't use wormholes from there) seems appropriate :)

tests of neinzul combat carrier, enclave starship, and blade spawner against dual mimes show no sign of spawned ships in waves.
still need tests done on other items, but my test game has core fabs for both remaining original listed items. :)

as an aside, I'm not entirely certain about it using the normal reprisal rules.. after an extended starship offensive, I finally got blade spawners into the mix, only to have two blown up. there was immediately a reprisal wave of 8 ships. I didn't catch it visually, but I'd gamble it was 8 blade spawners.
probably just the straw that broke the camel's back though, if it was programmed to hold a wave until it had something to copy, you'd know. :)
