Summary | 0016044: Peltian superbreeders cancelling out orbital bombing
Description | In the same save I have found it very difficult to overrun the peltians (of all races!) since the rules to allow no natural population growth during orbital bombing doesn't seem to apply. If I recall correctly, a population should not be able to grow during orbital bombing of their planet, but neither my nor my allies' bombing runs (acutian armada) seem to have that effect. This means that the six peltian superbreeders combined with The Ark are giving them +6.3b pop growth per month (5^6*7=15625*7=109375 times their normal growth rate of 16m, thank goodness there's the cap kicking in) which is \slightly\ more than I can realistically handle. So why does the orbital bombing's "birth cap" not kick in in this situation? Without it, this might very well be a block since I have < -1000 influence with the peltians. Same save as in the other thread: http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/file_download.php?file_id=6816&type=bug

Sorry, just saw that a ground invasion going on was needed to trigger the growth stop, not the orbital bombing. Nevermind. |
