Summary | 0016142: Binary
Description | starting from a root with 2 wormholes, each planet has two siblings (and thus 3 wormholes) and leaves (1 wormhole) are at a fixed depth. Maybe it would be more interesting to have 3 siblings from the root. This way, the root has 3 wormholes like the others (only leaves have 1) and if humans start on leaves of a same sector, AI home worlds are likely to spawn on different sectors. Variant: "chaotic binary" with random maximum depth. EDIT: I added an example of a 80-planets map.

This seems like it would be a fun mapstyle. |

Can you draw a picture? I'm having trouble figuring out how this differs from map styles like "X" |
|
Google'ed "binary tree", found that: http://web.cecs.pdx.edu/~sheard/course/Cs163/Graphics/FullBinary.jpg |
