Description | Turn 181 the game just stops processing half the of what it is supposed to. Drop buildings on turn 181 and they don't build Research still works. Memory footprint looks good. Figured it out... I have 2 Linguistics buildings that finish studying Spirian level 7 on 181. If you don't change the focus of the Linguistics buildings, weirdness happens. Changing the focus fixes the game. Per ptarth's suggestion, I ran the logging options for 5 turns and posted them here. Log starts with the save and runs to turn 185 start. | ||||

Same problem myself. The error log shows that the AI also ran out of construction workers. Everywhere. Added error file to log, but didn't label it. In the settings, you can check some boxes to increase the diagnostic information displayed in the console. You might try that to see if something pops out at you. |

I didn't have any error logs generated with this one. I had to poke it with a big stick to see what was going on. You might have multiple things going wrong with yours. Edit: Log is from ptarth @ptarth: if you add something to a report please note that you did so. |

I know about them, I run the advanced logging in AI War. I might turn them on now since the memory issues have largely been taken care of though. |

* In the prior version, it was letting you research all the way to the maximum language skill with races even without Computational Psychosemantics. Fixed. ** Additionally, in the prior version once you maxed out your language skill with a race then it would go absolutely bonkers in the game and stop a bunch of stuff from working properly. ** Now it properly handles both of these cases, gives you a center-screen message about you being maxed out, and deselects that race on the linguistics buildings that were targeting them so that those buildings show up as having nothing to do (handy so you notice them better). ** Please note that it doesn't yet tell you anything about races that are invalid to select for these reasons in the dropdown of selecting these races in the linguistics screen. That is in the process of being redone, so it will be added when the new format is in there. It's on our list, anyway. :) Thanks so much guys for reporting AND doing the really heavy lifting of even figuring out what was going so bonkers -- that's above and beyond! |
