Summary | 0017128: Buildings stop building | ||||
Description | My buildings have stopped construction. I have plenty of everything. They should finish construction. It may have something to do with districts. It is a continuation of a .870 game with the limestone collapsed civic center. When I first reloaded I was able to build buildings just fine. However, after a few turns they suddenly stopped progress. Of curious note, all of the buildings in the east city (commerce zone) under construction did NOT progress, whereas the buildings in the south district (shrines) did progress just fine. As noted in the other report, changing the target of a linguistic center away from 7 fixes the problem. The buildings on the east district that will not build seem to be a different error. They are also out of power. | ||||

Maybe it is time to retire that city? ... I don't know, I started a new game. The linguistics building block cleared in mine for a good 20 or so turns before I started over. |

Yeah. I am going to start over. Its just that getting back to that level of development takes such a long time. I try to squeeze out all the useful information I can before starting the over. |

* In the prior version, it was letting you research all the way to the maximum language skill with races even without Computational Psychosemantics. Fixed. ** Additionally, in the prior version once you maxed out your language skill with a race then it would go absolutely bonkers in the game and stop a bunch of stuff from working properly. ** Now it properly handles both of these cases, gives you a center-screen message about you being maxed out, and deselects that race on the linguistics buildings that were targeting them so that those buildings show up as having nothing to do (handy so you notice them better). ** Please note that it doesn't yet tell you anything about races that are invalid to select for these reasons in the dropdown of selecting these races in the linguistics screen. That is in the process of being redone, so it will be added when the new format is in there. It's on our list, anyway. :) Thanks so much guys for reporting AND doing the really heavy lifting of even figuring out what was going so bonkers -- that's above and beyond! |
