| Description | The basic idea is to give the player the ability to choose a starship type as his bonus ship (and possibly unlock further starships through ARS). ---Edit--- The bomber starship made it into the players arsenal already, so we can scratch that one off the list. The rest are still in the air! ---edit--- The bomber starship, for example, already has mk1->4 version, just not available for the player. The warbird and beam starships should be able to be balanced into mk1->4 versions as well. I would also be for adding a few more starships to the lineup, to fill some niches that current bonus ships have, but these ideas to come later. | ||||

coming from another idea, i propose some starship ideas to go along with starship bonus ships: http://www.arcengames.com/mantisbt/view.php?id=126 For instance, perhaps: engineer starship (engineer + immune to instakill. Do want) point defense starship (flak turrets, possibly tachyon emissions?) speed inhibitor starship (speed 12-15 in a midsize radius?) Mobile shield starship (about mk1 ff level range, maybe 5m hp, at 12-15 speed) ..suicide starship? |

I think with the recent move of zenith/spire starships to their own seperate groups, this should be brought back up as an option, in place of huge numbers of available 'free' starships in each game. |
