Summary | 0017734: Not sure if the Technology Shortlist is missing things
Description | http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/395546970933250718/DBD2B4F5C06E453E0B14E8BA868F4922AF1CB91A/ shows about what I'm talking about, or at least it shows the important part - notice how 'biology' is present on the tech tree, but not in the 'short list'. I'm not sure it's because the shortlist is supposed to max out at four entries or if there's a bug in what gets picked out of the tech tree to appear in said shortlist, but I'm noticing that it doesn't seem to pick up on all of the techs it's currently possible to research - which could be bad for an inattentive newbie (raises hand) if it turns out they forgot to research earlier techs because they missed less obvious tech branches than I did. Keep in mind that I'm mostly kinda used to the 'Civilization' way of doing things, where their version of the shortlist (as far as I remember) just shows you all techs currently open for research - I imagine most of the people playing this game will have had a fair bit of experience with that series and what you've got is a subtle enough difference to where some might not pick up on it immediately. I'm not sure if it's a bug or a deliberate decision - if it's the latter, I personally recommend bumping up the number of techs that can appear.
