Description | With the game's colourful backgrounds and muted bullets (compared to a lot of SHMUPs), combined with the fact that bullets can last a long time and thus not be around any enemies, I find that probably half the time I get hit, it's because I simply didn't notice there were any bullets around. If you compare this to most SHMUPs, they tend to have more muted backgrounds, larger bullets and much brighter bullets. They also often have some form of border or highlighting to make them pop even more.
