Summary | 0018066: Explosions poke holes in walls
Description | Because there is a '2nd layer' in the game of Space windows/force fields, I think it would be cool to implement holes forming in the spaceship due to explosions. The metal layer of the ship would then disintegrate as it gets blown up -- it's kinda like a wrapper. Debris flying from explosions (mentioned in another mantis suggestion) would cause small holes, and large explosions would cause large holes. I think this would give a nice, fairly unique feel to the game. For extra points, don't make the space background that gets exposed look exactly the same as the space 'windows'. Make it look more like a force field. I dunno how right now, maybe put a different shimmering graphic over it, maybe run random bursts of blue static electricity over the exposed edges.
