Description | Gating large amounts of content behind beating the game seems cool: Gives a nice reward for victory and makes sure that people have at least some knowledge of the game before getting there. Gating it behind, say 3 or 4 wins also seems reasonable: draws things out a bit more (potentially extending playtime) and ensures the win wasn't too much of a fluke. Gating it behind 10 seems really grindy and obnoxious: We know you can beat the game. Now, go, do the same thing 9 more times. I mean, the game is fun and all, so I don't really mind playing more, but it seems almost insulting. | ||||

Thanks! * The full 7-floor runs now unlock after 3 runs rather than 10. ** We originally did it as 10 because another popular game in the genre does that. But lately we've been getting frustrated at how long it takes before players are even able to see that awesome content that comes after beating The Warden three times. For a youtuber or a twitch streamer it's really quite a time investment to even consider it. |
