Did you check your keybindings? |
they keys are bound something in the interpreter no longer detects them pressed at the same time |
its only the one diagonal not the primary directions |
I checked the dev version I have and the live version and I am not seeing this behavior. All 8 directions work for me. I can suggest deleting settings.dat/settings.bak (copy somewhere else or rename to settings_old.dat/bak) and have steam cloud saves disabled. Then restart the game (should force defaults all around). If that doesn't help, I'll poke Chris about it. |
actually when i restarted the game it didnt have the problems. im wondering if there is any checks that can be done to test for stuck registers during startup ? |
I dunno? I'm just one of the volunteers :) I'll email Chris and point him here, maybe he'll have more insights. Edit: Email sent. Hopefully Chris has something to add. |

Sorry to hear about your trouble, but it sounds like you got it resolved. Sometimes with unity 3d games if you bring up the steam overlay, or alt-tab out or otherwise lose game focus _while holding down a certain key_, then it will keep remembering that key as being pressed when you come back into the game. Just tapping the key again will make it register that it's no longer down. |
yes that is true but in this case the key that was happening with didnt cause a game effect so i dont know which one it is it just causes the key combination to not work. in this case it wasnt tied to the common cause but more likely linked to my using a wireless keyboard but still having a test or note of a stuck key might be something to help with people realizing a cause. |
Got it. I'm really not sure -- this is the first report I've had of this out of a couple of thousand people, so it's at least a pretty rare problem. If you find a way to reproduce it, please do let us know! |
