Summary0018791: Picked up an Item: Immediately Died
DescriptionSo I was on floor 2 with the "buy all sacrifice items" run modifier. Both cost 7, that was fine, I had 17 hp. Bought both, immediately gained 1, ended up with 3 total HP. That's fine.

Beat the floor boss and it dropped the item that gives +80 energy at the cost of 2 HP.

I have 2/3 HP remaining (picked up the "take damage on new rooms" item: I only had to beat the floor boss and descend), this is fine.

I pick it up.

And immediately died.

Normally when you lose max health it takes from the top, i.e. if you're injured your health percentage goes up. I should have been reduced to 1/1 HP.

Sac room items take it off the top. All the other items I had been forcing it to heal before it would take the health so it doesn't kill you.

You don't happen to know what the name of the item was?

I don't recall the name of the item, just what it did. Pretty sure it was equipment (not an attachment).

Being one of a very very small number of items that apply damage that aren't sacrifice shops, I feel they should operate the same way as sacrifice shops. Or word their description differently. E.g. "Deals 2 damage and lowers max-health by 2."

I'll band-aid it like I have the others, let it full heal you then take health.

I'm not totally sure why it doesn't take health like sac shops but sac shops work a bit differently anyway (the increasing costs). Getting the items to work that way would be a good fix though.

One of the items is "+80 Energy at the cost of 2 health".

I think that one is called Conductivity.
