Summary0001896: Raptors - terribly underwhelming.
DescriptionI haven't even bothered to use a ship like this, because I've seen the AI use it, which demonstrated its complete lack of... everything. I've already indicated its weaknesses before 4.0, but I suppose it wasn't looked at.

It's a terrible ship, possibly the worst that exists currently in AI War because, a) it costs A LOT, b) the damage potential is insignificant, c) it has no health, d) unsubstantial bonuses in combination with base attack.

MK1 Stats
800 metal
100 crystal
500 attack
22 400 health
0 armour
12 000 range

Bonuses
Light 8, Swarmer 2, Ultra-Light 4

What needs to be done here depends on what defines this ship. It's a kiting ship, so it should have little armour and health, but it should definitely not cost as much as it does currently. The attack also needs to be looked at, along with the bonuses if necessary. Additionally, as I previously suggested in my first review of it, perhaps it should have the ability to ignore forcefields?

Baseline is that this ship is in dire need of rebalancing; however, best be that it remain distinct from spy planes in its own manner.

I wonder if I should submit a bug report that Spikey needs a nerf to rage accumulation rate ;)

Raptors are coming up soon on my list of things to rebalance, btw.

You just seem to keep up a fairly remarkable frequency and intensity of complaint ;)

Of course, that is very useful to us, so we shall maintain the level of additives to your water supply.

I imagine ALL the bonus ships are going to get bumped up soon. Raptors are certainly a bonus ship. I'm personally holding off any non-major bonus ship balance complaints until after the first pass on all of them. :)

Well, it seriously was one of the units I was about to work on next ;) The notes for 4.047 include rebalances of more than a few units, incidentally.
