Description | I know the game right now has an XML Loading Order file, but I think it'd be better with an actual, in-game menu for it. Kind of like the Nexus Mod Manager that a lot of games use, where you can enable or disable each mod/plug in, and move it in the load order. Perhaps saves with mods active could...recall what they had, in the case of someone switching them around and losing track. Think a one time read of the active mod list at game start'd do it? I imagine this is already planned, though, given the work to make the game mod friendly in the first place. This doesn't add much functionality...more just quality of life. | ||||

A lot of this sort of thing is really something that we need to figure out as we start seeing the way that modders are actually adding things. I play a lot of modded games, from GTA5 to Skyrim to Minecraft to Stardew Valley (just to name recent ones), and so I definitely feel the pain of having no mod manager on those that don't. Then again, the one for Skyrim felt kind of overblown after I was used to the Minecraft and Stardew systems. GTA5 is the big one that really pisses me off with how it has to be handled. So... yeah, it's something we need to figure out when there's a chance to, for sure. |

Don't know how GTA does it. The current method isn't bad, actually perfectly usable. But I guess you're right, do need to see what people do with mods to best know how to do it. Hm, suppose even if you were having multiple mod load outs you could just use prepared lists and name the saves accordingly, so even that isn't super important. Oh well, leave it here. |

I don't think mod order actually matters anymore, but all the other bits are basically there. :) |
