Summary | 0020969: Make what is strong/weak vs what more discoverable
Description | I do love the new analog stats (even if the bonuses that key off them are binary (either on or off, no inbetween)). It fixes a lot of things involving immunities and mechanics being overvaluable or undervaluable in classic. However, it does make it a bit tricky to tell at a glance what is strong or weak vs what. Classic had a decent solution to it (hold a hotkey, and hover over a unit, it shows you, based on net DPS and health, how much that unit wins or loses by vs all the other units on the planet). There was a version that showed 1v1 and cap vs cap. Not perfect, but I can't really think of a cleaner solution. EDIT: Oh, and by no means do you have to use AIWC's solution. Just cause I can't think of a cleaner solution doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you have a cleaner way of doing it in mind, great.

Here is a screenshot showing the 1v1 data in Classic. One nit: in classic you can only get this data to show if you hover over the unit on the map, not in the overview. Intuitively, it feels like either should work. |

A bunch of stuff has been done on this thanks to Asteroid, and it continues to evolve. Cheers! |
