Summary | 0020997: Don't truncate planet names in incoming Wave GUI
Description | Most planet names are being truncated (DeMarco turns into DeMar...) in the incoming wave GUI. I think the incoming wave GUIs could be a little wider to accommodate more text - Generally I am probably able to deciper the truncation, but when holding 40+ planets it can be confusing. I think it is probably necessary for very long planet names, but short-midsized ones like DeMarco shouldnt really need to be truncated.

Note that if you are ever confused about this, you can click on the notification to go to the planet in question. |
|
Unfortunately, the truncation is something that happens in the UI text library, and is based on how it would overlap. I can't actually control when it goes to truncation aside from either shrinking the text in general or making the notifications wider. And there are enough notifications at the moment that it tends to not fit if we make it too much larger. I imagine that we'll make some changes to these notifications visually in general, but this one isn't something I can directly control. |
