This is working as intended at the moment, although whether the intent is really ideal or not is the next question. Essentially, that pop-out window is just.... well, FROM those buttons. It's possible to select multiple fleets by hitting hotkeys (since multiple fleets can be bound to one hotkey), and I'm not really sure what would be the appropriate behavior there. I hadn't really thought of even having it tied to the hotkeys, because the selection of fleets for moving around and so forth is -- at the moment -- completely unrelated to opening the window to view the details of a certain fleet. If that makes sense? On the other hand, I could see where using the hotkeys might be really handy, though, to examine certain fleets. Then again, I could also see where it might imply some tighter integration between selected-fleets and examined-fleet where there isn't any. My mind kind of goes in circles with this... |

Hmm, I did not consider the multiple fleets selected case. I think my ideal use case would be: -If one fleet is selected (regardless of how), display that fleet pop-out -If multiple fleets are selected, either close the fleet pop-up, or do a new "Multiple Fleets" pop up. However the only thing that could apply to multiple fleets is the "Factory Status" button and I don't know an entire UI window can be justified by a single control button. |
