Summary | 0021579: New ship/turret/building ability: Lullaby Jammer
Description | The idea is to sing lullabies in binary to AI ships and guard posts, so they don't wake up ;) . Extra cool points if the ship actually bursts out the occasional randomized 8-bit melody. So when your cloaked Lullaby Frigate is a system, AI aggro range is reduced by 30% and aggro is 30% less likely to spread to nearby guard posts. (Completely made up numbers, you get the idea.) Useful for either slipping through a system unnoticed (ideally, it'd still work when loaded inside the flagship, perhaps indicate this with a visual aura that's still there when loaded), or more easily taking out guard posts piecemeal without fighting them all at once. This could also be present on a rare turret you can get from a Battlestation, on a Citadel, or a building that provides the effect either by its mere presence or when you hack it. A powerful variant of the building that you need to hold could make AI units less likely to wake up in all neighbouring systems (useful when you have pesky Zombie allies.) It could also be a generic hack you can do to every system, but that sounds less exciting. Ships or other wielders of this power should be a pretty rare find. There might be some overlap in functionality with the hacks you can already do in every system? Though from the description, these seem to affect shooting range, not aggro range. Feel free to come up with a less poetic name if you don't think AIs can dream. Jammer, Dormant Node, Firewall, Exception Catcher and what not.
