Summary	0021614: "Play Now" Instant Random Game Button
Description	It's easy to get paralyzed looking at the various scenarios (or worse, the options in the Custom Start). Sometimes, one would also like to be surprised by the factions and features encountered on the map, rather than knowing it all in advance. I think the game needs a Play Now button like the Civ series, which starts you off with a difficulty 6 game, random map type, 1-5 random factions including at least one easy or moderate-level AI. The idea is to have a low barrier of entry to jump directly into a nearly full-featured game. It would get more people testing everything, for example the Astro Trains which are only contained in one scenario so far. Since this Play Now button is intended to be used also by advanced players who just want to jump in, there should be a way to slightly tweak the options above so the button now starts difficulty 7 games with 3-4 factions, for instance.

Asteroid Sep 12, 2019 1:32 pm reporter ~0053036	If we go down to implementation details, the button can be backed by a setup script, and you can have more setup scripts available from the custom game panel. But to really reduce the barrier to entry, it has to be a big button on the main menu, and don't let the word "script" come within 10 kilometers of it ;) .
