Summary | 0022170: Allow Spread Placement of Structures on Structures)
Description | Currently, if building a turret nest or landmines, much like AIW:FC, you have to click on an empty spot each time. Mod-placement to drop 5 or 10 or 50 or w.e. helps, but doesn't help if you can't find a starting point. If you want to expand a minefield, you obviously want it centered on the path you expect them to take. But, very often, said space is taken, because the map is smaller/units are bigger. I suggest that if you mod-place, it will let you "Build on other structures" in the same way 5x build "Builds on the same structure". That is to say, it shoves the rest of them off to the side. So I can expand a minefield by dropping 5 mines in the center of the minefield-field. There isn't much call for doing this for a single structure, and you might as well place it manually. if it's the last of 29/30 cap or w.e., just mod click to place it. This would help with turrets as well. Drop 5, and then drop 5 more, still centered on the same spot. Like if your population cap increases, or you brought a fortress/battlestation/w.e. to the planet.
