Summary0022209: Systems that aren't focused don't simulate correctly
DescriptionSystems that are not being viewed by the player do not function the same as those that are. From what I can tell, this at least includes player ships from not moving when they should be.

A couple situations I have noticed this problem arise:
1. Send a flagship back to a friendly system to get repaired. The flagship will not be repaired until you focus and watch the flagship, no matter how long you wait. This may be due to engineers not moving to the flagship.
2. An astro train passes through a system. If you are not watching the astro train as it does so, ships may not fire / move to the astro train.

I have an example of a save file for example 2. There is an Astro Train in Yuan II about to pass through Living Armor. If you stay at the galaxy map, the astro train will make it through with 80% shields. If you switch to planet view, the astro train will die halfway to the next wormhole. In neither case does the player issue any commands.

Expected outcome: The astro train dies in both or survives in both, since the player is not changing anything in the combat.
Actual outcome: The astro train receives 90% less damage in the situation where the player does not view the system.

This should have been fixed in 1.008. Are you still observing this in games now?
