Summary | 0022212: Different behaviour clicking on top icons
Description | In galaxy view and clicking on the top icons about what is happening (incoming attack, under attack, instigator base etc) it's a bit random on whats happening. i think it's like this now (from memory): - Incoming attack, click -> center map but does not select planet - Under attack, click -> does NOT center map, but selects planet - Instigator base, i think its like under attack? Very annoying to not focus the map as I see it. Maybe single click should be select planet (and highlight?) and double click centers? At least make it the same :-) (except for galaxy wide stuff of course like CPA) Another problem is that even if the "Incoming attack" usually centers the map, if you already have the planet selected it does not center. Can happen when the planet already is under attack and you press that icon (which just selects the planet) and then you press the "incoming attack" it still doesnt center the map. Highly annoying! Also it would be very nice to be able to click on the hint about "warden fleet moving to xyz" and get the map centered. I usually have no idea where xyz is.

Back after a year and I see that this is mostly the same, except there are even more icons on the top. Would it be easy to get these different icons behave the same on clicking left, right, double, shift-click or whatever? Especially a way to (always) center map and select a planet would be very welcome. When playing a big stretched out map and owning 15-20+ planets I usually have no idea where planet xyz are. This and the feature to center the galaxy map when double clicking for example "1" for group 1 are my two biggest annoying things. Even centering on the first ship if the group is divided would be immensely better than doing nothing on double click. Or am I missing something on how to center the galaxy map easy on a planet/fleet? |

As far as I know, all the Notifications worked like this. If they are related to a planet then clicking on the Notification either swaps your view to that planet (if you were looking at a planet) or it centers your view on the planet related to the notification (if you were in the galaxy view). The only exception I know of was 'Planet Under Attack' which will be made to work this way in the next patch. If you have specific examples of notifications not working this way then please say. |

huh, had to try it out a bit more and it actually seems better. raid, relic, relic train, incoming wave, counterattack - left or right click selects and center. under attack - left/right click/double click only selects, does not center (guess this is what annoys me). exo, cpa - nothing (which of course is fine). And then, maybe even more annoying, the lack of centering on double clicking "1" (or whatever fleet you want to go to). But that might be another ticket/issue. |

Double-tapping a fleet's keybinding while in the galaxy screen now centers you on that fleet in the next patch. The "under attack does not center" problem is resolved in the next patch Unfortunately there's now way to click on the "Warden Fleet Is Moving to XYZ" message because it's just a text chat, not a clickable box of any sort. I believe that's all of your issues here? Thanks for the feedback! |
