Summary | 0022334: Units with debuffs (such as Engine Stun) are affected a fair bit by being stacked. | ||||
Description | Units intended for damage are okay when stacked, due to the shot gaining power for each stack. Far as I know, no such thing is done for status effects, leading to things such as Paralysers, which are a swarm unit, having a reduced result in practice. This may explain part of the reports I have heard of Spiders being a bit "meh" for people. You can upgrade them, use a Capacity Extender, but they'll stack and not gain as much as they should. You can modify the stacking settings for player units, though it only goes so far, and Paralysers can almost reach the limit at Mark 1. | ||||

Don't units with debuffers get bonus shots just like units that just do damage? |

I don't think there's a special rule for them, not that I recall. They'll get extra shots eventually, but they'd still be missing out. |

Aye, but it's still worse. balance_stacks_per_bonus_shot="5" It'll fire 2 shots, but it's still missing the other 3. There could be 9 units in this stack, so it's missing 7 shots worth of effect. |
