Summary0002275: Warpgates
DescriptionPretty much like the newly added gates that send newly build ships to them, however now simply 2 gates, from point A to B.

-Only 1 set allowed.
-If killed by the AI will cost you 20 AIP/gate you lose.
-Single usage costs ~500k both metal and crystal, wether you send through a single scout or 4k fleetship.
-Does not work on starships.
-Takes several minutes to build which can not be accelerated by using engineers.


The whole reasoning behind the idea is that when you have several hotzones in your terf you are bound to require to move your fleet about a bit. If I simply scrap them and rebuild them, send them through enemy terf or use an expensive gate-system, I am basicly doing the same thing where the gate-system at least tells me up front it will take x-minutes to build and z-resources to pull of and a lot less micro is needed.

Removing the logistical challenge of defending several fronts is definitely not a goal. ;)

Edit: and ofcourse if you lose the planets CC it will also blow up, like how it works for the AI.

People would be able to abuse this far too easily, and it also doesn't serve to actually enable any new abilities for the humans that I'm comfortable with them having. If you have your fleet on one side of the galaxy and you get attacked on the home planet side, you're meant to be SOL, basically.
