Description | In the attached save, I'm in the middle of a relic chase. I've found that the chase fleet is going passive when the spire relic phases out instead of swarming my ships. Might need some more tweaks to the AI. | ||||

Previously they were actually firing on your ships, though, right? Are your ships near the chase fleet, or not really? Because the chase fleet is probably still physically following the relic, by design, but would shoot anything in range. If you're kiting them from out of range, that might explain it. |

I have memory of testing the phasing out and the AI was attacking me fine. Possible I'm mistaken. |

That is what you reported at the time, yes. They destroyed your fleet and you lost. |

Can you look at this save and see if it's a range thing or what? |

From a quick look at it: 1): All the ships currently chasing the Relic stop moving when the Relic phases out. 2): It appears that ships added to the chase when the Relic is phased out rush to the planet, then attack the fleet fine. (EDIT: This is normal Hunter apparently, just joining in). 3): When the Relic phases back in, the AI units go after it. 4): AI ships both close, and far away from the Relic exhibit this. Some of these were not "in combat". |

The AI ships spawned for the Relic Chase have an attack order against the relic. I wonder if you are actually allowed to even give attack orders against invulnerable targets most of the time. |
