Description | I had a couple of errors while setting up my new game, while choosing minor factions. The attached video file depicts one bug - it happened that way (Every time I switch from an AI faction directly to Fallen Spire in the setup), and happened both before and after a "reset to defaults". The other happened when first adding the nanocaust when I set up the game a second time after having used "reset to defaults". The log should contain the whole time period of game setup including starting the game. (While we're on the subject of lobby stuff, I noticed while getting my other settings back: the "Enable Wormhole Borers" option has leaked out of DLC2...) Thanks! * Fixed a kind of funky error that was newly showing up in the factions tab in the settings screen, and in the view/edit factions window in the main game, if you clicked between the AI and human factions. ** Basically it was not taking a full frame to stop drawing the old fields and populate the new ones, so the old fields from one tab were trying to get (very invalid) data from the new data points that would be shown the next frame. ** In the past this was still happening but did not throw an error. Was this ever causing any problems? It's hard to be sure, but probably not. Either way, having this error out now and then us able to put in a fix is some peace of mind that it can't bother things. ** It's possible that we have a similar issue with the galaxy options tab, but that those just don't hit the point of throwing an error. If we ever run into trouble with multiplayer inconsistencies on the galaxy tab, we'll just need to remember to come in and implement this kind of fix there, too. |
