Summary | 0023363: Marauders try to attack a Dyson Sphere using the initial exo-planet attack
Description | It fails miserably, obviously. I suggest not letting the Marauders attack a Dyson Sphere at all, or only when they have a large fleet to spare. You can use the save file 'Marauders at Dyson Sphere' if you want to observe the results of one of their many attempts. Live fast; die young.

What do you mean by "exo planet attack"? Having marauders attack things and lose is not a bug. |

I mean when they initially warp in with that small force on an undefended planet. I know they aren't meant to always win; they see an opportunity, take it, and see how it goes. The issue I'm trying to describe is that if this initial attack is all the forces they have, then they don't have any chance against a Dyson Sphere, at least not an intensity 8 one. Throughout the game they try to attack it and immediately get wiped out by the infinitely respawning guard ships. My reasoning is that unless the AI experiments rendered them effectively brain-dead they'd realize that using only those small forces will never work and stop trying until they have more forces to help. |
