Description | Ever since the damage bonus against constructing buildings, beachheads have had a bit of trouble being usable (or at least to me). One of the suggested buffs to beach heading is citadel and battle station units do NOT take amplified damage while under construction. this will stop a tiny group of snipers/sentinel gunboats from just instantly shutting down a beach head attempt. Additional notes: if there is an aip price tag attached to the citadels and battle stations, here are some additoinal buff ideas Spend science to increase durability of units buildable by citadles/battle station (BadgerBadgerBadger's idea) Reducing metal cost of units buildable by citadels/battle station. "pay 1k science to make citadel and battlestation units cost less metal when built on a planet not owned by a humans." this one is Chris' idea sub addendeum: maybe this can be used to introduce a more "standard" tech tree (i.e, spending science to unlock perks such as increased unit caps, increasing damage/durability, etc) | ||||

I like the notion of being able to pay science for other interesting things. Maybe 1K science for 10% bonus damage against the nanocaust? Maybe giving you a single bonus thing you could build somewhere in the galaxy? Like "You can use this structure to create a new wormhole linking two planets". |
