Summary | 0023706: Pathing bug for melee-range units when loading into transport post-combat | ||||
Description | Melee-range units (or at the very least the metabolizing gangsaw and autobomb ships) suffer a pathing bug when attempting to board their transports after combat. What seems to occur is that they start to move towards the transport, only for their movement to get set to wherever they ended combat at, which then snaps back to the transports, so on, rinse and repeat. They make more progress towards the transports than away from them, so it's not a gamebreaking bug, but it is an annoying issue. I suspect that it's a case of the code for the attack behavior interfering with the code for the loading behavior, but I cannot tell for sure. The bug occurs whenever I use them in a prolonged battle, then tab back into the system later and immediately order them to load in. The switching back and forth doesn't seem to occur when I am tabbed out of the system (at that point they seem to stick to whatever they were heading for at the time) but since I am by definition tabbed out in those instances it is difficult to tell for sure. | ||||

For 2.512: * Fixed a bug where melee units given a load-into-transport order would keep trying to go back to their remembered melee anchor spot. Thanks :) |
