Summary0024283: AI fleets ignore long range units and just sit and get shot
DescriptionThe AI roaming fleets seem to have a tough time dealing with long range. I have seen several situations:
- Warden ignoring snipers and just pouring through a system (this held for cca 10 minutes before some AI group destroyed the snipers). This is ok-ish, I guess the warden had some other business.
- Hunter completely ignoring artillery golem, sitting and patienty waiting to get shot. The hunter was gathering forces to attack adjacent homeworld. Sending in a fleet containing non-golem pieces made hunter chase and fight the fleet. After it retreated, artillery golem was ignored once more.
- Warden jumping to a planet, then sitting near the wormhole while concussion turrets chip at him. Again, no biggie (I'm mentioning the last example mainly because I have a save game from this situation)

The main theme seems to be that the AI fleet is sometimes 'waiting for something', and neither turrets nor golems are of any interest to it. Even if said turrets / golems shoot at them.

I can get better saves (containing the artillery golem) if needed.

Most likely fixed (possibly by 0024269?). Loaded the save attached in 2.711 and warden immediately attacked the turrets as expected.

Still happening in 2.715. Hunter fleet decimated my fleet and proceeded to completely ignore my battlestation which is chipping at them steadily. So far cca 2 minutes of the hunter fleet sitting there and taking fire from the battlestation.. without retaliating or moving away. Save attached.
