Description | I just built a Spirecraft Penetrator and sent it to a planet that I had never visited. Though I can't see anything on the main screen, the tooltip for the planet on the Galaxy Map shows me all the buildings that are on the planet. | ||||

It does alert all neighboring AI planets though. Actually, should it? If it's perma-cloaked, the AI shouldn't be aware of it until it fires. |

@matyasbot A pretty unusual thing about cloaking in this game is that cloaking, even permacloaking, does not hide the existence of a ship, only its identity and location. Thus, the AI will know you have a cloaked ship on their planet, even if they don't have any way to find it. Thus, they can react to its presence. However, the same thing applies to human players. If the AI has a cloaked ship on your planet, you will know its there even if it has never been decloaked on your planet before. EDIT: Because this misunderstanding about cloaking comes up so much, maybe this important fact should go on the tutorial and the wiki. |
