Summary | 0002472: AI ships seem to stack on top of each other sometimes
Description | Sometimes, usually in waves, the AI ships seem to stack on top of each other, causing a large AI force to fit into a very tiny portion of the map. For example, in the attached screenshot there are 700+ AI ships onscreen even when I'm zoomed in all the way. When they stop moving, they usually spread out, so I'm guessing this issue is brought up when the AI ships move immediately after warping in through the wormhole.

Yes, this is the expected behavior. All ships are able to do this -- they are considered to be in different heights, even though they don't visually look more distant. There's no way to do more robust collision detection while moving, as it would eat the entire CPU and then some. |
